The Status of Starfield, some thirty days in

Starfield is a game that has currently been out for approximately 30 days. It has been a highly successful game that garnered much attention in the gaming press and non-gaming community at large. This is one of Bethesda's most successful games of all time and I expect that it will continue to do well on Steam and on Xbox. The game has received many accolades though some of the more popular gaming sites like IGN and Gamespot have been harsher on the game. Their criticism are based on the idea that the game is mile wild and inch deep. As I have stated before, Starfield is about the journey not the destination. Some of Gamespot's and IGN's criticism seems to be on the idea that Starfield is essentially a game that is a puddle. It has grand ambitions, but one has to remember that Bethesda has always wanted to expand the game beyond the confines of a narrative-driven environment.

Starfield as of right now is game that has currently over 130,000 active players on average. This is quite great for a game that came out a month ago. Considering all the negative press on YouTube and other sites, Starfield is doing remarkably well for a game that has a lot of the chattering classes. I consider that Starfield is a success that will continue to be successful in the days to come. 

As of right now, I have barely scratched the surface of this game and it is a remarkable piece of software engineering. Starfield is a game that is best enjoyed by people taking their time instead of trying to rush through the story. Starfield is a game that will be appreciated by gamers over time and I expect that game reviewers will probably try to change their views on this game. 

That being said, Starfield is one of the best games of the year. 

I hope that people try to ignore the negativity and try to enjoy this game and explore its many systems.

The City of Neon: Bethesda's Space Hong Kong and my impressions

  The alleyways of the City of Neon Starfield has undergone some intense scrutiny by gamers of all types. Much is written about its reviews on Steam though I tend to believe that these reviews are generally speaking being written in order to push agenda that seeks to taint Bethesda's reputation. The company has generally been more receptive to the will of gamers than most companies. Their contribution to the modding community is astounding and has given players an incredible amount of creativity that is missing in many other games. While they are not a prefect company, they were able to release Starfield with few bugs and with no microtransactions in the game. While the game has flaws, Starfield is game with a great start and it will continue to get better with more updates. Unlike Akila's earth tones, Neon revels in colors. Starfield and Vehicles: Pros and Cons

  In the above image, a vehicle in Starfield is clearly visible. I saw this vehicle in one of the random settlements that appear in the game. It is clear that we can have vehicles in Starfield, but should they just be props in the game or should they be something more? That is the question here in this entry. The issue that many people have with Starfield is that the game does not have vehicles that the player can use. This has been a sticking point for many players, especially those on Steam, who are a very active minority who are constantly trying to critique this game. Those who are more generous to the game tend to congregate on Reddit. While there are many complaints that abound about this game, it is clear that the game has one particular issue that people have been clamoring about for many months.
